The master's programme of the Department of Developmental Psychology deepens essential contents of the bachelor's programme in the field of social-emotional and cognitive development, based on current research. The focus is both on basic scientific research and programmes (such as the development of self-regulation) as well as applied research, as found in many occupational fields (individual and group support programmes to increase self-regulation). The empirical research carried out by our team members here in Bern and our research areas are part of many of our courses; Students who want to write their master's thesis in the area of Developmental Psychology are often integrated into ongoing research projects.
